01Who we are
The Today Indians Media Private Limited (“we”) is the data fiduciary for personal data processed on this website, our apps and newsletters. Our registered office is in New Delhi.
02Data we collect
- Account data: name, email, mobile number and password hash.
- Payment data: plan, billing address and GSTIN. Card and UPI details are handled by our payment partner and never stored by us.
- Reading data: stories saved, topics followed and newsletter preferences.
- Technical data: device type, browser and approximate location (city level).
03Why we use it
To run your account, deliver what you subscribe to, keep the service secure, meet legal duties and, only with consent, measure readership and personalise recommendations.
04Consent and your choices
Optional processing happens only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time from your account or the cookie settings. Withdrawing consent does not affect essential services.
06Retention
Account data is kept while your account is active and deleted within 30 days of closure. Invoices are kept for eight years as required by tax law.
07Your rights
- Access a summary of your data and how it is processed.
- Correct or update inaccurate data.
- Erase your data and close your account.
- Nominate a person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity.
- Raise a grievance and, if unresolved, approach the Data Protection Board of India.
08Children
Our services are not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly process their data without verifiable parental consent.
09Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to staff who need it and is logged. We will notify you and the Board of any breach as the law requires.
