Ruby Rai, the topper of Bihar State Board, who topped inter art examination (class 12) with a score of 444 out of 500 in Political Science. When Ruby was asked about Political Science then she pronounced ‘Political Science’ as ‘Prodigal Science’ and said it is all about cooking and nothing else. Now, an FIR was filed against her and two more toppers, Sourabh Shrestha and Rahul Kumar for inconsistency in their results.

As per the media report, the New and Real topper of Bihar board intermediate arts (Class 12) examination is “Kirti Bharti”, who secured “408 out of 500” in the examination.Kirti was very confident that she would secure good marks.

The topper Kirti Bharti said,

“After the results was declared, I appeared for the re-test on June 3 which was held for more than one and a half hour. I had answered every question correctly, apart from one or two.”

Here are some questions asked by expert panel and the answers given by Ruby at Bihar State Board office:

Que 1. Who is Tulsidas?

Ruby Rai: Tulsidas ji pranam.

Que 2. What is taught in Home Science?

Ruby: The subject is only about cooking and nothing else. Why are you asking the same question?

Que 3. What is noun?

Ruby: I don’t know the definition of noun.

Anand Kishor, the Chairman of BSEB states that;

“The panel that examined her (Rai) found her unworthy of the marks she had obtained to top the examination. Following the report, we have cancelled her results,”


Ruby Rai had scored 444 out of 500 marks in the class 12 exam in the inter art examination. When the examiners asked her to write an essay on Great Poet ‘Tulsidas’ in a re-test on Saturday, according to officials,  topper Ruby Rai wrote ‘Tulsidas ji, pranam’.

The police arrested Ruby for interrogation on Saturday from Bihar State Board office after a non-bailable warrant was issued against her and the other three toppers.

V R College Director and Principal Bachcha Rai was arrested early this month and was lodged in Beur jail in Patna.
