Haryana Punjab MPs put pressure on Manmohan Singh
CBI‘s retired DIG M. Narayan has revealed that the political pressure was made on this case to former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. He said that some MPs from Haryana and Punjab tried to put pressure on Manmohan Singh.
Manmohan Singh gave free hand in Ram Rahim case
Mr. M. Narayan, Chief Investigation Officer of Ram Rahim case, also told that despite the political pressure, Manmohan Singh stood with the CBI and gave a free hand to the investigation team.
Manmohan directed the CBI
In an interview, M Narayan said that after growing political pressure, the former PM summoned Vijay Shankar of the then CBI Chief. He discussed this matter with the CBI Chief. According to M Narayan, after seeing the statement of the victims, Manmohan directed the CBI to carry out its investigation.
Earlier, after the announcement of Ram Rahim‘s sentence, M. Narayan had revealed that since 2002, he had under pressure from many people including senior officials of the department to drop the case against Gurmeet Ram Rahim. He said that during the 15 years of investigation against Ram Rahim several times faced defeat and victory.
Let us tell you that after being found guilty in the rape case Gurmeet Ram Rahim is locked in jail. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
