Pakistan celebrates 70th Independence Day
Lahore Pakistan celebrating its 70th Independence Day, Wagah near Lahore … hoisted the largest flag of its history on the Attari border. Pakistani army chief General Kamar Javed Bajwa hoisted the flag at 12 o’clock in the middle of the night, and with this, the celebration of Independence Day in the country started.
World’s eighth largest flag
It is said that this flag is the largest of South Asia and the world’s eighth largest flag. The length and width of this flag made in Pakistan is 120 feet and 80 feet wide. Its length is 400 feet.
General Kamar Javed Bajwa said on this occasion, almost 77 years ago, Pakistan’s proposal had passed in this city (Lahore). Pakistan came into existence on the 27th night of Ramadan, it was a very good night.
He said, Today, our country is moving forward on the path of law and constitution. All the institutes are working properly. We will make Pakistan a country of dreams of Qaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal.
Bajwa said, “We have given many sacrifices, we will never forget our martyrs.” We will destroy every terrorist in Pakistan. We want to tell our enemies that (whether in the east or in the west) your pills will end but our youth will always be on the front.
Regarding the internal and external challenges of Pakistan, General Bajwa said, “I assure you that we will never disappoint you. Any such power which aims to weaken Pakistan, army and other institutions, their efforts will be thwarted.
Other speakers paid tribute to those who were killed while going to Pakistan during partition.
